Welcome
I created Equine Body Shop to sell the Black Forest Treeless Saddles that I use to condition and compete in.
I would finish a conditioning trail ride at one of the trails here locally, and almost without exception someone would come up to me and ask me about the saddle I was riding. I would usually end up loaning my saddle to whomever, and several times ended up selling my own saddles to someone who needed them.. After that happened a couple of times I figured I had just as well become a distributor so that at least I wouldn't be without my own saddles and I could offer others a variety of types and sizes.
The journey has evolved effortlessly into what has become a whole-horse care lifestyle and business, and I'm glad to share it with you. I'm not so concerned with selling you something, but I appreciate the opportunity to tell you about my experiences with these products so that you can make some informed decisions about life care for your partner - the horse.
On the pages of this website you'll find information about Black Forest Treeless Saddles - a saddle that I represent because I believe it is without exception the best value for your money. You can get very good treeless saddles from other manufacturers - and I'd be representing those saddles if I thought they would give you a better value for your money, or more importantly - do a better job for our horses.
I've also recently found the Equipedic saddle pad. It's my recommendation as the best pad for our Black Forest Saddles.
The most dramatic change for me personally has been a complete shift in thinking about hoof care. After doing the research myself - and it's easy - go to my Links page and start looking at websites - I've come to the place Pete Ramey talks about when he says he doesn't see any instance in where he'd ever nail another shoe onto a horse.
After literally decades of trying to find the "RIGHT" hoof boot - I have! The Easycare, Inc., "Glove" hoof boot has enabled me to put the missing pieces of my barefoot trim and lifestyle journey into place.
I had recently tested another popular boot that is on the market, but didn't get the results that I wanted. My friend Ren Hurst of Renegade Horsemanship fit the Glove boot for both of my horses, and the results have been everything you could ask for in a boot. There is no rubbing or chafing anywhere - even after deep sand, mud or water crossings. I've never lost a boot. There is no hardware! The Glove is extremely easy to apply, and my horses like them - you know that's the case when they pick up their feet for you to put the boot on before you even get to them. These boots are also now legal in Competitive Trail competition since the NATRC rules have changed.
I am now a certified Easycare dealer and working on becoming the hoof boot fitting and glue-on specialist that I always wished I had access to! Please see our Easycare Boot page for more information. I'm available to fit boots for your horses by appointment.
Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service to you. Please contact me at any time with your questions, or to order any of our products. I'm looking forward to visiting with you.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Judy Varner and Kahlil Says Thanks
I bought 6 saddles, english and western, in two years to try to fit Kahlil, my rescue Arabian, They always ended up producing dry spots behind his withers. I tried shims everywhere of every shape imaginable. Then I heard about Black Forest treeless saddles. He has never had a dry spot since!!! He moves so much more freely. We both love this saddle. Many thanks to Vic for all of her support and help through this process - she is right, I had to find something else to obsess about.
Thank you so much for hanging in with me - by the way, I love the cinches!!! All is good and I am still trying to find something else to obsess about.

Dewey is 83, Deacon is 9.

Not a place you’d want to nap.
Dewey is riding Lucy on the trail back from the lodge, and they look like they are making time.
He looks like he was born in that saddle, doesn’t he?
